My Background & Approach
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a doctorate in psychology from Pacific University. I specialize in health service psychology and provide comprehensive behavioral health services. My approach to therapy is holistic, considering the reciprocal relationship between the mind and body as well as the broader social and cultural contexts that impact mental health. I focus on creating a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free space where all identities feel respected, seen, and understood. By meeting clients where they are, I emphasize collaboration to support positive change, and aim to foster an affirming, supportive relationship that highlights your strengths. This trust allows me to support your growth.
Patient Population
I specialize in working with adults (18+) and older adults from diverse backgrounds who are grappling with acute or chronic health concerns, including chronic pain, anxiety, stress, depression, life changes, grief, anger, caregiver stress, and sleep issues.
What To Expect
I typically begin with a free 15-minute consultation to assess if I am a suitable fit for your needs, provide initial recommendations, and explain what future sessions will entail. Following this, we will have a 50-minute session where you can share your story, experiences, values, and goals at your own pace. Recognizing that people are complex, I will continue to learn about your needs and adjust your therapy goals as our sessions progress. I often suggest exercises or ideas tailored to your goals and values to try between sessions. These recommendations are designed to help you apply our discussions to your life and make progress toward your mental health goals.
